wow-so the weekend has gone far too fast and makes me really think that we need another day of weekend. Don't you think? I do. Well, i just told you that so-whatever :) Anyway- I am in the middle of the process of converting my new (amazing) Phoenix CD onto i-tunes so i can listen to it not only at home, but also, i can listen to it instead of the idiots on my bus in the morning(and also afternoon) so yeah-this is a picture of it-(oh hey-i think i may have (maybe) typed about it in my last blog post? yes? I got it at Thrifty Joe's Books and Music store/aka amazing musical place. sort of. buy maybe not-i don't know- I've been reading-since i went to the library yesterday-this book (The Vinyl Princess) maybe i already told you this too? no? well, i'll tell you again. :) It's really on of my favorite books that i've ever read, i think. OK- so this is a really super confusing post- I know. The pictures are backwards :) don't ask.. and also- i don't know if you can read it, but i sure can't read the title. Well, except for the Phoenix part. It's all gibberish! so yeah- i'm going to need to figure out how to fix that...

Libraries-thrifty book stores-ect.

So, it's Saturday night. Yeah. We went to the library today and surprisingly I found something readable,maybe even enjoyable. The title of the one I am currently readin is The Vinyl Princess by Yvonne Prinz. I love it! and yes, i admit-i stole my new blog name from it(the idea anyways) Tonight after dinner we went to The book/music store. Which I love, because it is very vintage-y. Even though i dislike it, i sudgested mexican food just so we could "possibly stop by afterwards". I found an album to take home with me which I am super excited about. It's Phoenix(wolfgang amadeus phoenix). THe guy at the counter said"is this like classical or something" and i (only in my head) sneared sort of and then said no,it's indie. (my thoughts-dude! that would be wolfgang amadeus MOZART) erm-duh! I decided that I'm going to work maybe at a place like that because the people working there(though they may be a bit bored) are just sitting there listening to music and eating pretzels and such. Yeah-i know. I would love to work at a thrift(clothing) store though. That would be beautiful. Today(and this will show you how much of a life I have) i spent an entire two hours listening to music and creating letters for the title of my (stupid) science fair project board(i did not do this willingly I PROMISE) It's required. because no one that is not a nerd or in need of money quite badly would enter the science fair. So yeah- My project is called Which Is The Best Type Of Eyeliner. It has almost nothing to do with science other than the fact that i wore different eyeliner each day and took pictures of myself(morning and night) Note-i wear different eyeliner every day and occasionally take pictures of myself. So-other then the crappy graph-it's really not science. so-yeah. I don't expect the judges to be spending much time at my board. Also while at the library today(sorry to be skipping arond-well, not really actually :) I found a guide to photography, which is very exciting and well written by a seventeen year old which i like. It's very good and tought me(by the time i had read 1, 1/2 pages) that i am in need of a new camera(which i new) it will just be a bit more expensive to get a nice one then i had hoped for. So, yeah. Theres my day. Oh hey! You know what's depressing? My literature studies teacher is leaving on March 12! It makes me so sad because i was extremely excited to be having her for journalism next semester! now i have to have Mrs. Strange,rude,color contacts substatute as a permanant sub. So yeah. Lets just hope that i get computer tech(where no one does anything and everyone does nothing. SO hey-that's my day-ish ~ megan

what now?

Today was great. We were outside for art class(sixth period) and were supposed to be drawing trees. It's strange,but our school has a lot of cool trees. So we sat down and started drawing one. (pictures below) So, we ended up wasting a lot of time, but it was fun anyway. We got in trouble a couple times by Mrs. Art Teacher. Apparently we were "too loud". But we were using our "outside voices" and we were outside, so I thought it worked out well. But anyway. I like drawing trees. I was amazed(and your going to be like "what?" here, because I should have been amazed by the beauty of nature or something,but whatever, i was amazed by how big the clip boards were!) They were huge really. Like SEVEN times bigger than the actual paper. Wow. So my drawing(started) is below also and It might be too light to actually see, but i'm not sure. So- I don't know about you,but i watch American Idol every season. It's one of my favorite shows. I don't know why, it just is. :)I am loving the girls and even though the judges complain about the quirkiness, i love it! I am sort of quirky myself(i've been told) and i guess i just like that kind of stuff. My favorites are Lily Scott and Dee Dee Benami. The guys on the other hand are a bit depressing. They are all pretty pitiful and it's sad that they suck like they do,because I want them to be good. you know? yeah. So, i'm really really excited because Jenetta's brother is finally coming home tonight at 10:00pm! I mean, i don't really know him, but she's so excited that it makes me excited. Haha :) He was supposed to come home today at 1:13pm but the snow stopped his flight so he couldn't(which is kind of ironic because it doesn't even snow here)I saw her in school today and i was like "WHY ARE YOU HERE?" haha. So she told me, and we were sad together. So that was my day. I don't know why but all day i've been wanting to get on and just BLOG. I think it is mostly a way to get everything out of my head before i start the new day, which is why i post (almost) every day. I'm not just some computer freak. :) So, i'll probably be back tomorrow ~love and stuff-megan

Oh hey!! On a totally different note, i just saw the new Paramore video for The Only Exception and it is SO cool! It just makes me happy and i think i watched it like 500 times and I could watch it 500 more! It's just great! Did anyone notice that she has like a trillion pairs of sunglasses on her bed stand? nice :) reminds me of a friend of mine. I also loved that the letters she lays on are sent in from fans.. So cool :D Well, now i'm done-I promise. haha ~ love-again, meg

So life is pretty good this week. It's Tuesday :) I had a yearbook meeting yesterday and things seam to be coming together nicely even though our yearbook teacher is spazzing out about getting everything finished. We've got another one tomorrow after school and we're taking our group picture to be in the actual yearbook. I'm excited because we are having art class(sixth period) outside tomorrow. Art class is the best class all day for a couple of reasons. 1-though the girls that sit across from me(wait-used to sit across from me-i'll explain in a minute) don't like me and my buddie Kilee It's sort of fun sometimes to see them freak out about the smallest things-i know that's mean/stupid of me :)
2-I just love art. It's something i love and am passionate about. But, my teacher just happens to be a bit closed minded sometimes,which makes loving art class kind of hard. We have things like packets and assignments that are due the next day. I say" you cannot put a due date on good art!". But only to myself because she would probably call home(i'll explain this in a minute too)So anyway-i'm really excited about being outside for art tomorrow. As long as she doesn't assign us to a specific tree i'll be fine. (We are drawing trees) I saw this amazing picture of my friend Ashley on a trip and she is at the base of a really cool tree. I think i might post it at the top if i feel like digging through facebook profiles to find it later. Well,anyway-it's a super cool picture. I love trees because i think when your drawing them you have a lot of options for what you want your paintin/sketch/picture/whatever to be. It could be in a park or you could have some funky cool alice in wonderland-ish tree that blends into the sky. I don't know, i just like drawing/painting trees. So,yeah. So what i was saying about the girls that used to sit across from Kilee and me(proper grammer-dude)is that Kilee and me(there it is again)are sort of loud sometimes. whoops. Well, what do you expect? we are enthusiastic about art class! But our art teacher doesn't like us very much anyway. So today the girls who sit across from us got mad and switched to another table. As devistated as we were(not really that devistated) it happened to work out really well because my other buddies that are in that class got to sit across from us. I don't know if they were that excited though because Kilee is freaking LOUD. SO yeah. It worked out well for me :) Well, we are doing this project where we have to draw hands and on each finger we have to draw "texture". SO third grade. I KNOW. :) So i'm drawing it and Kilee is drawing it and our buddies across the table are drawing it and we decide(since art teacher has told us we need to add something extra to our drawing) that we are going to draw snails on the hands. So it ends up being pretty dang rad. And we love our snails. Well, anyway-i just got a call from Kilee and apparently she got a call from Mrs. Art teacher tonight. She called her parents and got all freaked out about a snail with wings being a part of her picture. I don't think Kilee's parents really care. And neither do mine. SO ha Mrs. Art Teacher. Well, that story took eons to tell. MAN! :) haha. Well,Mrs. art teacher isn't really very happy with me either. I told her that i am still wanting to where a skirt even though we are drawing outside tomorrow. Because i am getting my picture taken for Yearbook Club. She sort of scoweled a bit it seamed when i told her that. maybe i shouldn't have told her that. WEll, there's no going back now! so yeah- love and such~Meg

books & bedrooms

i've been trying to come up with ways to make my bedroom better. I did find a few things-but they sound a bit expensive-so we'll have to see about them. At the moment i am "saving" up for too many things-and we all know that non of them are going to happen
list of things i am "saving up" for-

1-new camera(mine is crap-on the + side. it IS red)
2-new i-pod(i have owned mine for years-they don't even make the model anymore)
3-painting canvas(i love art-but i have no supplies-so this is on the list too)

so those are the top three on my list-we'll see-probably won't happen :) I have been getting job calls lately though,so we'll see how that works out. One idea that i really liked that i found to "spice up"-(i'm sorry for my word choice) my room involves a large canvas-therefor i don't know-i just wanted to say therefor. Right now my room decor consists of lavender/cream floral bed spreads,alice in wonderland(old version) poster,old fashin coke ads,hanging jewelery,inspirational posters,paper flowers-Not really working for me-though it IS an improvement. I think it is pretty good though for only having lived in this place for six months. Don't you? Well,yeah.
So i need some new books to reaad! Magazines are fantastic,and i need to subscribe to something other than the New Era(which i love-don't get me wrong);but i need to find a book that i have NOT read seven times. My small in room library consists of 30-ish favorites that i have read WAY to many times. This is just not working for me. I am going to the library soon (hopefully)-but the selection here is hopelessly limited which is a bit depressing.

Now to start with my actual post- So today was pretty amazing. It really was a great day. Especially for it being a Tuesday. I don't normally have days like these on Tuesdays. I don't know why. The reason i am so happy is mostly because of three things-mosquitoes,banannas,and alice in wonderland. So i posted on mosquitoes and alice in wonderland on their own previous to this post,but they are important today so i will post again now. Today i came to school and Sidney had a bananna. Why does this make me happy? I don't know, it just does. It's such a random thing. Also, she gave me a giant mosquito poster! It just made my day! We've been talking about mosquitos for a bit now(two entire days) and i think this is amazing. I think i'll put it up on my wall. So as far as Alice and Wonderland goes... i am just SUPER SUPER SUPER EXCITED about it coming out MARCH 5TH 2010. That's not TOO incredibly far away. I have a poster of the old Alice in Wonderland up on my wall above my bed, and i think that this one will be comparably cool. Most likely. I am listening to the soundtrack for Alice in Wonderland as i speak(type)and it is incredible! It goes all the way from Tokio Hotel(one of my long time favorites) to 3OH!3 who i don't like quite as much. But, their song is still really amazing. So here is a list of some people that i'm very excited to hear when the soundtrack comes out(you can't hear the songs on i-tunes until it comes out)

mosquitos and math class

( wow,ok-so lets start with an explanation of my picture--- i needed a picture of a mosquitoe for my blog post and you know google is helpful so that's what i used---and they were all discusting. Mosquitoes are sort of gross-but this is ok right? I don't know if it's from something or what,but i don't care-so theres your background information stuff- ta-da!
Today was my first day being back to school after a terrifyingly long five day weekend. Who doesn't love being away for that long right? right. ..... normally. But i have been super sick lately and feeling super crappy. So-nice. So now i'm feeling much better, and since we had Monday off because of Presidents Day, i am also feeling a bit weird. Starting the new week off on a Tuesday kind of messes me up sometimes. But thats ok :) This morning was great. I started off in math class first period. It was eventful and fun as usual mostly just because of the people there. Math is no fun. Today we were talking about a wide variety of things- but mostly mosquitoes. How to spell the actual word-what they are-what they do-etc. That kind of thing. By the end of the day i had heard from several people that there is some kind of giant mosquitoe painting being made for me? I just got that figured out-via facebook - via sidney. Sounds amazing! I've always wanted a giant mosquitoe painting-not really-but now it sounds really amazing! Can't wait to see it :) love you sidney!!! I also am loving sixth hour-which is art class. It is not very eventful, but we find ways to make it fun. Like painting mosquitoes and splattering everything that it is possible to splatter. I have this class with Kilee, who is very loud, and sometimes annoying-but i love her anyway. So there is a layout of my day-for no apparent reason

Super Bowl?

I'll pass. I'm not a huge fan of the super bowl. Football-and most sports for that matter aren't really my thing. I have noticed though that the commercials have been pretty good-and i have taken note that they have chosen pretty good music for most of them.

I really do wish that i liked the super bowl more than i do. My Dad could really use someone in the house to watch it with. Four girls and him is a bit of an unfortunate mix when it comes to the super bowl.

alice and wonderland

Alice in Wonderland! I really want to see it. It comes out March 5th of 2010.
Here's the story- As a child Alice falls down a rabbit hole and is thrown into a world she calls "Wonderland"- thought she mistakes it for Wonderland, it's true name is Underland.
Alice is at a teaparty after losing her father, when she sees a small rabbit, and in chasing after it-once again falls down a rabbit hole. Again Alice is in "Wonderland". The Red Queen has total control over Underland, though she does not always make right decisions and has quite a temper. Her younger sister is the White Queen. She is the equivalent of the Good Witch in the Wizard of Oz :). Though she does have something inside of her that no one can see-
