This week I've made a lot of interesting discoveries, and I'd like to share a few of them with you.
1) Check out these awesome
DIY Moleskine Notebooks: As you'll continue to see as you read further in this post, I am completely obsessed with moleskines. Their like a composition books cooler older brother. Or sister. This modification is very simple, but undeniably cool. Can't wait to try it out myself!

This Pinterest account: So apparently I've been a follower for a while now, but I had no idea how cool Brooke's
blog/tumblr/pinterest was until I found an image of hers on my Pinterest homepage last night. Here are a few images from her Pinterest.
3) The Sketchbook Project:

homepage = awesome. I actually only found out about this project YESTERDAY through a random blog I found. (don't have the link, sorry.) Even so, I can try to tell you how amazing it is! Of course, to really understand you'll have to check out the homepage link above. You probably just want me to get to the point and tell you what it actually is. OK! The Sketchbook Project collects hundreds/thousands(Who knows?) of moleskines from people around the world, and puts them in a traveling library for other people around the world to view. You pay $25 dollars, and a moleskine with a prompt attached is sent to you to finish by a predetermined date. There really is no restriction (except for the idea prompt) on what you can put inside. I've seen art, photographs, stories, and more used to describe feeling and emotion. It's truly amazing what people will come up with. You can find more examples of this in the first link above.
4) 8tracks: I generally switch between two music sites if I'm looking for new music or doing homework.

Pandora One that I've been using a lot more lately is 8tracks. It's very helpful if your looking for new music that you've absolutely never heard before. Sometimes I feel like I have to look hard to find something I have heard! The one thing I hate about it, is the huge amount of CRAP you can find. I honestly use it a lot less than I would like to, because there is no filter on what kind of music people can upload. I have four or five followed mix makers, and songs that I like, and I usually only listen to the new mixes that they upload. This way I can still find new music, and avoid the garbage. 5) Typography/Fonts: Alright, I don't actually know the correct term for cool font, but I've seen a crap load of pins (on Pinterest) that are titled typography, so that's what I'm going with I guess. Lately I've been experimenting a lot more with handwriting, and ways to make my notes more interesting. The only problem with this is that I end up with more fonts and doodles on my page, then I do notes! Here are some examples I've collected over the past week or so:

Austin Kleon's blog: He's a writer and artist with a heck of a lot of creativity under his sleeve. If you need proof you should check out his newspaper blackouts (examples below) and see his awesome index card sketches. Inspirational!

Oh! By the way: I made it into my schools newspaper! (sort of) I'm not exactly on the newspaper staff (yet) but I did get a random tidbit/quote of mine put into this months issue. If I had known that my teacher was going to show the staff our bell work, I would have been working much harder on it! After being gone two days (Thursday and Friday two weeks ago) from school, I came back and my Journalism teacher told me she needed to take a picture of me, because the kids on the newspaper staff wanted to use my explanation of national unity in the 9/11 issue. So, it's not insanely exciting, but it did get in! It's the little things.
Title explanation: My friend Andrea took the media productions class at school, and she is assigned a blog post a day usually on whatever she wants. What the heck! What a wonderful class!
