Day 4: A picture of your night (30 day challenge)

If you've been on Facebook lately you may have noticed the "30 Day Challenge" posts popping up all over the place.  I have to admit that I took to it myself (willingly, yes) and after roughly two weeks, I'm on day four.  In my defense, who is on Facebook every day anyway! Actually, most of my friends could answer yes to that question, but I am not on Facebook as much as I thought,  I guess.  Basically, the 30 Day Challenge lasts 30 days.  Each day, you post a different thing in your album.  For example, day four was, "A picture of your night".  The night is just beginning; it's about 6:50 right now, so I don't have a picture of my night (it will probably be uneventful anyway) yet.  Above, I have posted the picture I used to show "my night".  Lately my nights have consisted of...

*guitar practice
*homework
*volleyball with Allison
*family time
*cleaning (my room needs it badly)
*American Idol :)

The Hunger Games Trilogy: I love it

OK, first of all: HUNGER GAMES MOVIE WHAT? Seriously I almost died when I heard that they are making a Hunger Games movie.  (who is they? I don't know) And guess what.  It's coming out in 2013! If they seriously need that much time it better be as amazing as the books.  Not possible you say? I know.
Anyway, this post has the most perfect cast ever.  I'm not even lying.  The only problem with it is maybe Taylor Lautner as Gale.  Don't get me wrong.  Taylor Lautner is great.  But absolutely wrong for Gale.

If you don't know what books I'm talking about then behold: The Hunger Games

First book:  The Hunger Games ( Awesome)
Second Book: Catching Fire (equally awesome)
Third book: Lame

P.S. I'll probably be embarrassed by my excitement when I read this post later, but I don't care.  Hunger Games movies here we come!

Fishing

Up at dawn
we reach the water, and slowly we dip in.
Feeling ocean that has been untouched by humans for
several religiously dark hours.

Beneath my feet a city of fish,
now interrupted, realize we have come.
They've been busy all those hours in the ocean.

At first our arrival is a game.
The fish and other ocean inhabitants swiftly swim
about our ankles.  Excited for a new acquaintance
continueing their dance until they realize that
They are lunch, and we have
Not
come to play.

We've been working on a poetry unit in Mrs. Terry's class at school and this is one poem that I wrote that I am proud of.  I thought I'd post it here.  (mostly because I don't have anything else to post right now :)
P.S.  The only time I've ever been fishing my whole life was a field trip in kindergarten.  It was hot and the fish was slimy...
